In 2005, Kylie Minogue was supposed to perform at Glastonbury for the first time, but was forced to vacate her spot after a diagnosis of breast cancer. Now, in 2019, our Kylie has made her way to the Glasto stage like an absolute legend, delivering a powerful mid-afternoon set that fans are saying she could have headlined with.
Minogue performed a set spanning her impressive back catalogue, playing ‘Spinning Around’, ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ and ‘Kids’ to name a few.
“Just so you know, I’ve never seen so many people in my entire life” announced Minogue as she looked on at the huge crowd that amassed for her set. “You’re giving me the chills.”
As NME reports, fans reckon she oughta have headlined the whole shebang, taking to Twitter to voice their opinion. No arguments from us.
Early on, the queen of pop brought out another Aussie legend, Nick Cave, to perform their 1995 duet ‘Where the Wild Roses Grow’ together.

She also introduced Coldplay frontman Chris Martin to the stage to perform her classic ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ together. The band performed the track during their own Glastonbury set back in 2005 as a tribute to Kylie.
This was such a moment!

Minogue also shared an emotional reflection on finally making it to the Glastonbury stage after being forced to cancel nearly 15 years ago.
“In 2005 I was meant to be here on this very stage, and circumstances meant that I didn’t make it,” said a teary Minogue to the crowd. “I wish things were different, but life is what it is right? We are here together in this moment.”
Hooooo boy. If you need me, I’ll be crying while watching that video on repeat for the next few hours.
Thank you SO MUCH! Words cannot describe what today meant to me. @GlastoFest pic.twitter.com/hkgoxIXQYj
