Glastonbury Puts Call Out For Applications To Work At Next Year’s Fest & Yep, Aussies Can Apply

If you’ve ever dreamed of working abroad at Glastonbury Festival, this could be your big shot.

The mega-fest in Somerset, UK is putting the call out for applications to work full time at next year’s event, and it seems Aussies are free to apply.

According to the official application form, all you need is a UK working visa and insurance, plus the required qualifications.

The roles they’re recruiting are based in the hospitality sector, with the official Glastonbury account sharing the opportunity on Twitter, writing: “Fancy working at Glastonbury 2020? Applications are no open for full-time paid work for chefs and kitchen assistants in the crew catering team.”

Chef candidates are required to have experience in cooking for large numbers as well as some knowledge of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes, while kitchen/service assistants will be responsible for food preparation and front of house service at the fest.

According to the job listing, “this is hard work, rather than just an easy way into the festival”.

Applicants need to be aged 18 years or over and must also be available between 29th May and 14th July 2020.

Glastonbury 2020 will see the festival celebrate its 50th birthday with performances from legendary Beatle Sir Paul McCartney, plus Taylor Swift, Diana Ross and many more TBA.

It runs from Wednesday, 24th – Sunday, 28th June.
