Sydney artist, Becca Hatch, has delivered a stunning Like A Version for triple j this week. It’s an RnB take on an Aussie classic: John Farnham’s ‘Burn For You’.
She keeps up all the feels of the original, just with a totally different sound. She also works in a little bit of Destiny’s Child’s ‘Cater 2 U’.
Chatting about the cover in her Behind The Like A Version, Becca Hatch says that the Farnham track is really good songwriting. “Like as an RnB song, it really suits it.”
She also touches on the struggle of performing a Like A Version with a limited band, due to COVID-19 restrictions. You can watch the clip in full down below.
