Wildlands Is Returning For A Weekender In March, And They’ve Just Announced The First Headliner

After debuting in late 2019 with a lineup that included Tyler, the Creator and Rüfüs Du Sol, Brisbane fest Wildlands will return in March next year for a special weekender event.

Run by the teams behind Victoria’s Beyond the Valley and Origin Fields in Perth, the next iteration of Wildlands is set to run across Saturday, 6th and Sunday, 7th March 2021 at Brisbane Showgrounds.

Organisers have also shared their first headliner on the all-Australian lineup, with masked producer Golden Features set to close the event’s first night. You won’t have to wait too long to find out the rest of the bill either, with the full lineup set to drop tomorrow (December 1st) alongside ticketing information.

While it’ll be a limited-capacity event spread out across the two days, the announcement marks an exciting return to festivals after a year that has deprived music lovers of the experience.

Plus, they’ve already earned our seal of approval. In our review of Wildlands’ sold-out first event back in 2019, we praised its debut run, saying, “In this festival climate, you’d have to be incredibly brave, a little reckless and perhaps even a little mad to try and launch a new event and think it will be successful. Despite all odds, Brisbane newcomer Wildlands did just that and they did it virtually flawlessly.”
