With complete dominance in skateboarding, Japan overtook China to emerge as the leader in the gold medal tally at the Tokyo Olympics. Japan leads with 8 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze at the end of Day 3. The United States advanced to the second position, winning a total of 7 golds, 3 silvers and 4 bronze medals. China is placed third with 6 golds, 5 silver and 7 bronze.
